Blue Wave Bowl

Decorative blue bowl by Birmingham artist, Margaret Hutcheson. 

Margaret was born and raised in the New Orleans suburb of Gretna where she attended Catholic school in a neighborhood of mostly Cajun-French and Italian-Americans. Her  cultural experience was greatly enhanced by family trips via  ferry across the Mississippi River to the French Quarter where she was inspired by the sights, sounds and aromas of the unique culture that is New Orleans. Those experiences, her early travel to Europe and her corporate travel to Boston and New York added to Margaret’s appreciation and love for art in its many forms. After discovering the many aspects of working with clay, she  developed a passion for making the pieces you see today.
