Andrew Morris grew up in the north of England and comes from a family of artists. His father, David Morris was a painter and print maker who taught Andrew at Harrogate College of Art. Andrew's education instilled the fundamentals of observational drawing which underpins his work to this day. After studying illustration at university he worked as a commercial artist. This grounding in illustration is still evident in his work. Interested in the everyday and sometimes mundane, Andrew's images tell a story, often capturing the stillness of a bygone era.
